The annual Jackson County Rural Electric Membership Corporation meeting at the county fairgrounds will elect three directors from districts one four and seven. Nominees include Travis Jamison and Russell Rouse from district one Wallonia R1 Charles Day Salem R2 Roy Graves Salem R1 William Dieringer and John Hauersperger Vernon RI. Registration runs 9:30 to 1:30 with entertainment by Elmer Hinkle and Musical Notes and food stands serving sandwiches pie cake and ice cream 11:30 to 1:30.

Car Hits Pickup Parked On Road Near Clearspring
A collision at 6 40 PM Tuesday one and a half miles south of Clearspring involved a 1955 pickup owned by Willard Reynolds of Medora IL and a 1953 sedan owned by Morris Bevers of Norman RI. The pickup was parked on the hillside crest partly on the road. No injuries. damages listed at 180 and 120. Reynolds charged with parking on a traveled portion. Bevers charged with reckless driving. The case goes to Justice J L Eckstein in Seymour.

Woman Awarded 20800 Judgment Against Estate
Miss Florence May Oser of Seymour won a 20800 judgment in Jackson circuit court against the estate of Anna E. Becker of Seymour. Oser, a niece who lived with Becker, claimed expenses since 1927 for groceries, utilities, taxes, medical costs, and care during Becker’s illness after a broken hip. The estate won 500 on a counter claim for lodging and 300 for attorney fees.
