Two Men Plead Guilty to Public Intoxication
Frank Goss of Henryville now employed locally and J W Queenan of St Louis residing in Seymour pleaded guilty to public intoxication this morning. They were fined 10 dollars plus costs totaling 40 dollars. Goss was arrested by Seymour police around 2 30 Sunday morning on West Tiptoe street and Queenan about 3 40 Sunday afternoon. They appeared before Justice L D Wilson.

Youth treated after accidental shooting injures knee
George Lewis thirteen son of Everett Lewis living about two and a half miles east of Seymour was admitted to Sechneck Memorial Hospital this morning for a badly infected knee. The wound occurred fifteen days ago when his seven year old brother Earl fired a .32 caliber revolver the bullet passed through the wrist and hand into the knee. The wrist and hand wounds have healed satisfactory but the knee became infected.

Four Suspects Held In Scottsburg Bank Robbery Probe
William Findley was released after bank officials did not identify him as one of four men linked to the July 22 Scottsburg bank robbery. Suspects were in various jails including Bloomingon Illinois and Indianapolis with several others under surveillance in distant cities. The $4,400 robbery is under investigation as authorities pursue the four perpetrators.

Frank H. Kruse 46 a well known Cortland farmer died at Bartholomew county Hospital Columbus at 11 55 Sunday morning after a two week illness. He had an appendix operation about twelve days prior and did not recover. Survived by widow Myrtle Schaffstall and three children Clarence Glenna and Lucille with Elizabeth and Evelyn preceding him in death. Also two half brothers and three half sisters and many relatives. Funeral Tuesday from home and Borchers Lutheran Church with burial in Borchers cemetery.

An explosion at the Rite Towers Hotel on Park Avenue basement paint shop level killed or seriously injured at least a dozen men. Firefighters battled a basement fire as jewelry shop owner Thomas Kirkpatrick reported diamonds, emeralds, and a pearl necklace worth tens of thousands scattered on the street. Lieut.
