Local Chamber Directors Meet at Raymond Restaurant
The Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce directors gathered Tuesday morning for a breakfast meeting at the Raymond Restaurant. Fred Rice reported on Oil Appreciation Day with a cost of 144.35 and 147 people served. Dr. Wright discussed West Texas Chamber concerns from Lubbock, noting 50 percent of the current Milo crop unsold, a two thirds production rise in 10 years, and a projected 4 million cattle in feed lots by 1975 with a new slogan Tap to Eat Serve and Sell More Texas Agricultural Products. The board voted to send 50 to Girls Town in memory of Joe Seagler. Charles Lawrence was named chairman of the nominating committee for new directors. Earl Bartley spoke on the Christmas Parade and club/school involvement.
