Man Injured as Runaway Team Plows West Fourth Street
A frightened team hit by steam noise bolted on West Fourth Street Monday morning, throwing owner WJ Sorenson. Sunday night wreck of freight train No 71 near Seele's Mound Iowa section saw eight cars derailed after a detector switch. Fireman Nickle suffered a shoulder injury but others escaped harm as the locomotive remained upright.
