Thaw Trial Tactics Stir in Hummel Affidavit Evidence
In a New York court on March 17, the Thaw trial saw Delmas switch tactics to seek the full Hummel affidavit. The defense aimed to read parts contradicting Mrs. Thaw’s testimony, while the People introduced the Hummel conspiracy record to contextualize Thaw’s alleged violence. Police described Thaw’s behavior in his cell the night of the tragedy as irrational, though he had previously claimed rational conduct.
