Des Moines reports that Charles Mackenzie, a leading candidate for attorney general, and others may challenge the Polk county convention. They argue the county body lacked authority to name 72 delegates to the state convention, claiming proxy voting violated primary law and disenfranchised Mackenzie and several other major vote-getters.
