James Cullen Mob lynching at Charles City bridge

A mob of about a thousand men and women dragged James Cullen from the jail at Charles City, beat him, hanged him from a cedar tree at the bridge, and left his body to hang for an hour after his execution following the murder of Mrs Cullen and her son.
