John A Cruikshank forms The Waterloo Farm Peace Company in Waterloo to manufacture durable farm fences. The brick carriage factory site is converted for looms and heavy wire weaving to produce high grade fences designed to keep livestock safe. Testimonials from James Black and George Dawson vouch for the product as the firm expands with new looms and storage plans.
