Good Woman Called Devout Catholic Margaret McGarvey Dies
Margaret B E MacGarvey, a devout Catholic and longtime Eagle Center Waterlo o resident, died Tuesday evening at 7:00 after a seven day illness marked by a stroke. Funeral Thursday at Eagle Center and burial in Catholic cemetery. she was born July 4 1855 in Cedar Falls and lived in Waterloo after moving from Eagle Center. Two brothers, a sister, and several children survive.

Mrs Marie Hurin aged about 95 died Tuesday at 3 10 pm after a gradual decline. She had lived with her son A R Hurin in Waterloo and earlier resided near Laporte and Seneca IL. Survived by sons A R Hurin Waterloo and A Hurin Seneca IL and daughters Mrs J W Wilson Laporte and Mrs W Snedaker Pomona CA, with five children dead. Blanche Schoenthal, missing from Dubuque, is under family alert as relatives seek help locating her.

Miss Clark, a Reading school teacher, visited Dr Bennett’s home. The Schupeman sisters of Cedar Wails Eastered with aunt. Mrs John Hominghaus and Mrs Jerloo were visitors. Hattie Gealau returned home to see parents. Bertha Kaepke visited Dunkerton and returned. Esther Gunther ill with measles. H C Bruns and family from Waterloo Eastor with relatives. Amelia Bayer kept at home due to wagasses. Mr and Mrs Will Mishler and Mr and Mrs Pearl Padget attended the fremen’s dance from Waterloo. John Nolger hosted a party for Mrs Nolger’s birthday. Illinois Central officials led by President Harahan and General Superintendent Ewing toured Waterloo in a special train with Board of Trade members. The visitors arrived at 12 10 and spent forty minutes in Waterloo, touring Logan avenue and manufacturing districts before continuing to Chicago. Plans for a manual training building and an addition to Waterloo high school were discussed.
