W Zan Vleck, aged 75 years 4 months 6 days, born June 13 1828 in Saratoga County New York, died Wednesday September 18 after a long life of steady citizenship. He married Abbie A Knapp Sept 20 1855 in Amsterdam NY. He lived in Crawford County Iowa and Elder before settling here. Survived by his wife and several children. He joined the M E church in 1858 and lived a faithful life. Burial from the home in the Second Ward conducted by Rev Geo B Shoemaker.
