Big Evangelistic Meetings Reach City and County Crowds
The Union Evangelistic Campaign fills the tabernacle nightly with crowds from ten to twelve miles away. Sunday afternoon features separate big meetings for men and women at 3 o'clock, with increasing attendance and active public interest. The sermons on sin and revival stress moving from obstacles to faith, urging forgiveness, unity among churches, and acceptance of the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Library gifts enrich Hardin County collection
The Public Library receives diverse donations from patrons and friends. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Moir gift a first Hardin county kerosene lamp bought in 1858 at Waterloo, Mrs. D. Wills contributes a rubber plant, and Mr. Ehrman donates an 1875 Historical Atlas of Iowa. A complete Iowa Official Register file from 1892 is given by Mr. S. Whited along with many magazines. Joseph Wallace is named a delegate to the Farmers National Congress meeting in Raleigh, NC on November 5.

Ed Thompson served as an Eldora caller Tuesday. Hattie Trueblood has a hotel building remodel underway. George Elerding is constructing an ice house behind the store. R T Skinner traveled to Marshall county Monday returning Tuesday evening. Church services next Sunday at 11 with Sabbath school at ten. Homer Hunt and family arrived from a southern trip. Locals attended Eldora revival Sunday noting a helpful meeting. Alex Quigley family moved to M H Brooks farm while Brooks rest on Colorado trip. Mrs Charley Loveley recovering from illness. Mr and Mrs Lovely now live on a farm southwest of here. Mr and Mrs Brooks and Mrs Brooks’ father Mr George Myers visited. Myers, 95, in good health.
