Cole Wins for Cubs in St Louis with Shutout
Cubs pitcher Cole, former Eldora standout, dominated the Cardinals in a Wednesday game, allowing a few hits and guiding the Cubs to an 8 to 0 victory. The young right hander impressed with both his pitching and his timely hitting after a strong season with Bay City Michigan, from which he was sold to the Cubs. Earlier in the fair he pitched for the Industrial school against Union Eldora.
