Judge J. Whitaker arrived by 10 35 am Monday to open the March term of the district court. The schedule includes three weeks of sessions with docket assignments and preliminary work, followed by a dinner adjournment. The case Wilds vs Vierdant dominated Monday and extended into the next day as filing disputes were resolved while jurors reported for instructions. By yesterday the grand and trial juries had gathered, received guidance, and retired to their room.

William Philip Brewer age 20 died Sunday at his sister Mrs Newcomer's Eldora home after a brief illness. Born in Kingston Ontario he lived in California as a youth and was active with Presbyterian churches in Oakland and San Francisco. He was vice president of the Paul Elder Company in San Francisco and leaves siblings Mrs Newcomer, Mrs Turner, T V Brewer of Toronto, George Allen Brewer, and relatives in Canada and San Francisco.
Henderson school closed last Friday. Mrs. Hommer is on the sick list at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Haines. Dr Baker's agent O L Thomas dispenses medicine locally. W D Wilson Drug Co promotes wall paper and paints. Bert Caster visited the Rh W Caster home. Wilbur Barnard assists Northwestern in Eldora. March 17 Xenia cemetery society meeting with Mrs H Merrick. Business visitor Frank Boardman of Nevada and The town caucus Saturday night nominated eight officers for Radcliffe including Mayor L Ivers on councilmen R H Bergfield and Ed Reissetter recorder C K Myers assessor L W Rhubardt. Auxiliary Circle to serve roast beef gravy mashed potatoes escalloped corn plum pudding at 5 pm dinner March 18 with families invited.
Al Redner visited town for a few hours. Mrs Rand remains ill. Mr Idson repainted his meat market interior and exterior. Edwards family heads to California. Mrs Edwards will join later. Miss Mildred Pence recovering well after appendicitis surgery. Andrew Whitney family ill, some with grip and quinsy. Merrill buys lots opposite his home and plans to move and renovate a new rental.
