Eldora Hardin county notices report chilly weather and fruit ripening while editors host guests and plan concerts. Highlights include marriages, hospital updates, court reporting, civic gatherings, and a large Saturday social program with churches, bands, and local dignitaries in Eldora and surrounding townships.
Local residents report a string of visitors and departures. R. A. Carleton of Iowa Falls spent a few hours in town, while Rev W E Stanley returned from Chicago. Mrs Will Henry of Clarion visits at Mrs M Peyton's home, and Mrs J P Clyde shows improving health as Rev and Mrs Clyde host a guest from last week.
Tom C. Meader, Hardin County District Court Clerk, was re elected as a member of the Republican County Central Committee from Eldora City Township at last Saturday's primaries. He was again chosen without dissent after the county convention adjourned. A. P. Mason of Union became secretary, replacing E. R. Seaton. Committee members from various townships include W. A. Fenton and W. R. Williams among others. A three member panel was named to revise primary election rules, with possible adoption of the Australian ballot. Meader notes a healthy campaign fund balance and praises his leadership track record.

Eldora Iowa records state the Chicago Iowa & Dakota Railway Company will hold its annual stockholders meeting at the company office in Eldora on Wednesday July 8 1903 at 10 00 am. Directors will be elected and other business addressed as needed. J B Redfield secretary.
