The Herald reports S P Smith, a longtime respected citizen and prominent Old Fellow, lying at death's door with dropsy and expected not to survive more than forty eight hours. Also listed are weekly advertising letters for Eldora with names such as Haase, Harrison, Bink, Quigley, and others. Dr B B Purcell notes an eye ear nose throat practice at Emergency hospital with dates June 28 and July 12 26.
