Baughman born October 7 1859 in Green County Wisconsin died January 3 1910 one mile east of Owara at age 50 after paralytic stroke on July 18 1907 He moved with family to southern Iowa in 1861 then Hardin County in 1870 He leaves sister Mary Jane Kaughman and nieces Lela and Bessie Fuller Funeral at Owusa Methodist church January 15 conducted by Rev M Hill, burial at Berlin cemetery to await resurrection.

Hardin County totaled about 1260 dollars more for the term as three Iowa Falls druggists A E Hagensick S R Magee and M B Downs and one Buckeye druggist A S D Kahrs were fined 300 dollars each plus 50 dollars attorney fees and costs for maintaining nuisances. Whitman and Huber of Tawa Falls faced charges over a butter substitute product and the case paused for trial due to other jury cases. a next term hearing is possible. A verdict of guilty was returned in the burglary of whiskey from Reed drug store at Steamboat Rock involving A Platz with sentence to be set by Judge Wright. The county docket notes long jury debates and various local notices and business items including a closing sale and a 12000 fire at KFRB Hampton.
