Mrs Orphan Dysinger Norris, 47, longtime Eldora resident, died suddenly Saturday evening December 23, 1905. Born Memphis Michigan September 3, 1857, she moved to Eldora in 1873, married Frank A Norris in 1874, and raised four children: Charles Nell Sheakley Bert Crossan Jessie. Survived by husband, four children, father, two half brothers, a half sister, and sister Francine St John. Friends gathered at her home Tuesday after the news.
The obituary notes she received flowers and lived beautifully. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in a private ceremony led by Rev. Warner and Rev. Stanley. Her earthly form rests in the cemetery, leaving a memory cherished by family and friends.
Mrs Edith Stelow died Friday and was buried Monday after a large funeral cortege from her home west of town to the cemetery. The service was at the German Lutheran church. Her age is not known. Her maiden name was Edith Kutherow and she once worked as a clerk at A. W. Fannon's store in this city.
Henry Humphries of this city received a telegram Saturday evening from Kearney Nebraska announcing the death of his brother AJ Humphries. AJ was about 60 years old and leaves a wife and seven children. He had long been a resident of Hardin county, once ran a farm near Ackley, then operated a hotel at Abbott before moving to Nebraska several years ago.
