Soule hoped for a renewed bond in Chicago but remains jailed awaiting trial and possible release or penitentiary time.
Mrs Jennie Quiggle of Robertson visited town Monday. Mrs Carm Davenport and son returned to St Paul Tuesday after visiting Eldora friends. L J Spurgin of Oskaloosa was in town weekend and is thriving in musical instruments. Col Drake the new superintendent of the Iowa Industria school arrived likely in charge. L F Brown wife and Miss Vivian Thamer home from the world’s fair pleased with sights. A sister of Mrs D Webster from Cedar Falls summering with the Webster family. Mrs Jarman and daughter Mary of Monticello were guests of Mrs Jno Boylan and Mrs C C Warner. Jarman principal of Monticello high school and ex-classmate of Mrs Boylan. R A Vigars of Iowa Falls spent Sunday-Monday at home and visited The Herald. Mrs Alice D Hubbard of Marshall con oak president of the Hardwick is in town to attend. C F Susmilch and family will return to Eldora later this month to resume residence west part of town. Susmilch has sold hardware stock at Marion where he has been in business.
A gold Alpha shaped pin bearing the monogram IOI N8 vanished Monday morning between a residence and the North Western depot. Finder should return it to Mrs. Jno. T. Boylan to receive a reward. Dr. G A Stewart, dentist, second stairway south of post office.
