Purse of Miss Heacock Found Empty After Theft
The pocketbook of Miss Florence Heacock of 1412 South Monteau was stolen at Broadway Presbyterian Church Wednesday night. Found later in a box car at New Franklin, Missouri the bag contained only a driver's license and papers, no cash. Police suspect it was tossed into the car by a passerby near the MKT tracks.

Sedalian Peter Schrankler known as Pete died at 1:25 PM at his home after suffering a brain hemorrhage following a stroke at work as plant superintendent of J. A. Lamy Manufacturing Co. He was born 1882 in Sedalia and served on the company board. He leaves wife Lucille and two daughters Gladys Davis and Christine Greene, plus a grandson and two brothers. Funeral 2:30 PM Saturday at Gillespie's with Rev. Oscar J. Rumpf. plant will suspend operations for the services.
