Jackson went to Dresden Friday for public school closing exercises conducted by Miss Effie V. West.

The Roosevelt negro Republican club held a reception banquet Thursday evening May 12 at Douglass Hall Lawton avenue and Beaument street in St. Louis Missouri. Inc C Dancy recorder of deeds in the District of Columbia delivered the address before the club.
Miss Fannie Counce departed for her home in Coffeyville Kansas after a nine centh stay in our city. She is described as an exceptional and well regarded young lady who made an impact in the highest circle of society. Counce worked at the Conservator office, choosing diligence over pay. Those who knew her speak warmly and hope for a future visit.
Prof. F. R. Perkins closes Malta Bend school with fine exercises. Miss Pleadie Fowler earns a diploma for excellence in elocution and deportment. Perkins' work praised. next session rejection noted. North Street M E Church Marshall Missouri reports work progressing well under Pastor Rev A H Higgs.
Rev J D Burns closed an eight months term of the Blackburn colored school with a two night exhibition. A large crowd attended both nights and praised his work. W H Huston of Sedalia Conservator urged race education and harmony between parents and teachers. Burns preaches at Sedalia Blackburn and Gillam and will reside in Marshall soon.
