Pythian Grand Lodge Opens 122d Session in Kansas City

The 122d session of the Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias and related bodies opened July 23 at Arlington Hall Kansas City with over 400 in attendance. Grand Chancellor A W Lloyd of St Louis led the opening. W Houston of Kansas City gave the opening address. sessions featured committee appointments and speeches praising growth, temple plans, and endowment progress across states including Mississippi Louisiana Missouri and Texas.

Knights Parades and Talks Shape Grand Lodge Meet

The Grand lodge heard proposals from Central Regalia Co and urged equal service for colored and white customers. Leaders praised the Uniform department Ladies Drill corps and the St Louis cadet unit. A Thursday street parade led by the First Regiment band, with 1000 Knights and Ladies and mounted police, opened the event.
