A controversial Missouri report describes racial conditions in Columbia, detailing housing, taxation, crime, and religion among Negro residents. It cites shocking statistics on sexuality, poverty, and social life, noting a clash between old and new religious influences and projecting broader state implications.
The marriage of Miss Lucy Foster and J M Coxton was held at the Tod Tourer home near Mis on a Wednesday in March. Rev M L Clay officiated. Music by Tearie Poole preceded the couple down blue ribbon aisles by junior attendants. Guests from away included the Pastor family of Chicago and the Stewart family of Napton. The bride wore white organdy and lace with a veil. the groom and attendants wore black. A supper followed with fruit, salads, oysters, chicken, turkey, ham, cake, ice cream and coffee. gifts were plentiful and well received. Mrs Coxton is the daughter of Robert Foster of Miami. Mr Coxton is a Napton farmer.

Georgetown F Public School held a commencement on Monday April 4 with success across the board. Four students completed the required course Ruby Anderson Mary L McFeders Minnie Ross and Charles Smith delivered orations essays and demonstrated intellectual development. The event featured a board president Rex Dow a visiting pastor Rev Leggins and Rev Rush, with Emma Jamison and Mayme Nurse presenting essays. Prof. W G Smith conducted the music, described as a rare treat.
