Bishop Moore Led Central Missouri Conference Tour 1907
Bishop David H. Moore, veteran editor and educator, presided over the Central Missouri Conference in Joplin March 1907. Born in Athens Ohio, he and two other bishops were noted for army service in the Civil War and later religious leadership, with missions in the Far East and extensive conference duties from Missouri to Oregon and Pennsylvania.

Several Civil War veterans from different sections met yesterday in Sedalia to organize an Annual Reunion on the 22nd of September. Rev R Rush presided, Rev Dr R Gilllum of St Louis was chosen secretary and Rev Christopher Tays of Malta Bend treasurer. Present were WH Brown Butler, Anthony Coleman Lebanon, Henson Baker Warrensburg, Edmond Diggs Glasgow, G W Ball Sedalia, G B Abbott Columbia, J Frank McDonald Kansas City, Dr CS Walden Sedalia assistant secretary.
