Bell store pledges free flour with purchases this fall

Albert Kahn owner of the Bell in Sedalia announces a fall push offering a sack of flour free with purchases of a set amount. Customers may choose Joy flour, High Roller Patent, or Best Patent, delivered to any city grocery. Sedalia Labor Day celebration plans announced

Sedalia merchants close shops from 1 pm for a half holiday as labor groups stage a parade and games at Liberty park. The event features speeches by P. S. Jamerson E. T. Behrens and J. F. Riley, a Second Regiment concert, and contests including races tug of war and a ball game between Retail Clerks and Machinists.

Valuable donation to library preserves War of the Rebellion records

Miss May Jaynes and Mrs. Bransford Lewis donated about 100 volumes of official War of the Rebellion records to the library. The limited editions include Union and Confederate reports and correspondence. Additional gifts came from Dr. Graham and Mr. D. E. Kennedy.
