Wreck of Missouri Pacific Train Kills Fireman in Sedalia
A Missouri Pacific passenger train No 3 westbound wrecked in East Sedalia at 4 50 Saturday morning after a split switch at New York avenue. Fireman F O Anderson of St Louis died from scalding conditions. Engineer G T Rogers of St Louis survived with injuries. baggageman C S Demarry and express man W R Ridgely escaped. Conductor W D Wheeler led the train. Wreck crew removed engine by noon. two baggage cars and three coaches overturned. Coroner’s jury ruled death accidental.
