Man Arrested After Reckless Driving With Crippled Passenger
Stahl, described as a hunchbacked cripple using two crutches, drove wildly through town forcing hacksmen to flee. Officer Price jailed him and learned from Stahl’s mother on Sixth near Ohio that the boy had stolen her pocketbook earlier that evening.
Death of Thomas H. Parker at Clarksburg
Thomas H. Parker died after a lingering illness at his Clarksburg home on January 31. Born October 2, 1836 in Cooper county Missouri, he married Nancy Maxey on December 30 1865 and had two sons John H. Parker and Dr Joseph Parker. Funeral sermon by Rev Godbey affirmed belief in salvation beyond church identity.
