Charles Hudspeth of Mason City Illinois shot Charles Curry of Lexington Missouri at midnight in Hudspeths Wyandotte street room after Curry answered a letter written by Mrs Hudspeth. In Burlington Iowa on September 30 an electric car with ten passengers lost control on West Hill grade and crashed into a C B & Q freight train at Jefferson street crossing. Funeral Honors Wilburn Holman at Hopewell Church
A large crowd gathered at Hopewell Church northeast of Sedalia for the funeral of Wilburn Holman who died Sunday afternoon at 112 East Seventh Street following stomach removal surgery. Rev. David Roberts delivered the sermon as songs by a select choir filled the service with mournful tribute. The casket was borne to the new grave in Hopewell Cemetery by Grant and Dick Thomas and John Jack Norvil and Green McFarland.
