Two hobos released from county jail after trespass sentence. Miss Pauline Guerrant visits sister Mrs H B Guerrant in Dallas and may stay most of winter.
Fog blanketed the Missouri Pacific from St Louis to California Missouri, hampering engine visibility and sound. Locals report traffic and water shortages unchanged. Indiana county routes eyed for Ark mineral field expansion with Cushman to Yellville work slated soon.
In Howard county a mob hanged Thomas Hayden, a Black man accused of killing Andy Woods, a 23 year old white farmer. Deputies were forced to surrender as the mob dragged Hayden to a white oak and executed him before dawn, with the coroner later removing the body.
Rube Miller living north of Beaman was struck with a hatchet at Thomas livery stable on East Main yesterday afternoon. The assailant, Jack Dunnigan, is described as weak minded. likely no prosecution as Miller was not badly hurt. Dr. Dunlap treated the injured man.
The Broadway Christian Sunday school plans a picnic at Forest Park next Saturday.
Right Rev Bishop John Glennon will confirm about eighty at St. Vincent church next Sunday with Fr Healey assisting. A weeklong fair starts November 20 at St Joseph hall featuring nightly entertainments and may include an out of town pastor.
