Death of Staunton full back ends football game outrage
Edward Schmidt 21, Staunton full back, died Sunday after a 20 yard rush in the first half against Coffers of St. Louis. He collapsed with head injury, died en route to a physician. Staunton residents burned goal posts and uniforms and vowed no more games. An inquest will be held.

In Boonville Missouri Rev Dr William Prottsman aged years died after a lingering illness. Born February 19 1815 in Marietta Ohio he came to Missouri around 1840. A longtime M E Church minister and former chaplain in the legislature he was known as the Blind Chaplain. Survived by a widow and sister Miss Anna Clarke. Funeral tomorrow at the M E Church with Rev Dr Briggs officiating. Interment Walnut Grove cemetery. McFarland and Tellefaro funeral directors in charge.

Mrs J J Wilkerson wife of a former Sedalia pastor was critically ill in Los Angeles California with death hourly expected. The Rev Wilkerson was the first pastor to serve Calvary Episcopal church in Sedalia and helped dedicate the building.
