Eastern Star to Meet in Kansas City
The Grand Chapter of Missouri Eastern Star will convene in Kansas City for its twenty seventh annual session on Friday October 25. The two day convention will be held at Masonic Hall 912 Walnut Street with about 400 delegates expected. The organization includes Masons wives daughters sisters and mothers and has 205 subordinate chapters and around 12000 members in Missouri. A reception for grand officers and delegates will be hosted by city chapters at the Scottish Rite Cathedral 912 Walnut Street on Thursday evening.

Capture of Olmsted Liveryhorse Thief Recalls Clever Escape
Constable James Robb was informed by his brother T. J. Robb that the capture of a horse thief, who stole a horse from the Olmsted livery barn, was a clever arrest. The fugitive was captured by the Macon city marshal after four shots were fired. Robb will arrive tonight with the prisoner.
