A Schell City bank was burglarized about 2 AM with about $4,000 taken. Night officer William Lee was bound during the raid as four men looted the vault using nitroglycerin. The vault and safe were destroyed, several papers damaged, and the criminals fled. Police suspect a coordinated gang connected to a Houstonia robbery two weeks earlier.
