Franklin football player dies after injuries in game
John S Summersgil, 21, a guard for Franklin of Chester, died in a hospital from abdominal blow and later head injuries suffered during a Saturday game. He briefly recovered, played on, and was later knocked unconscious again. He died of a hemorrhage after collapsing on the way home. Summersgill had married three months earlier.
