General Wright accompanies President Roosevelt on a visit to Memphis as the city hosts notable guests and civic events. The trip highlights the administration’s engagement with regional leaders and public affairs.
Memphis on November 19 hosts a grand welcome for General Luke Wright with President Roosevelt's special train. Wright boards the Mayflower, greeted by Roosevelt, then travels in a long procession through decorated streets to Hotel Gayoso for breakfast. Roosevelt plans two receptions, one for whites and one for African Americans, as the city displays flags and bunting. Separately, the Ladies' Musical Club held a morning meeting at the county Rest Rooms with a varied program led by Mrs. J. H. Rodes and planned Chaminade studies for next week.
The Ladies Aid society of the German Evangelical church会 holds its regular monthly coffee Thursday afternoon and evening at the home of Mr and Mrs Louis Bahrenburge on South Quincy Street.

The Scrubs led by Captain Kidd face the All Americans at Sedalia Club tonight. Hawkins Tredway Patterson and McDonald compose the Scrubs lineup. The All Americans beat Warrensburg last Thursday. Admission is free and spectators are invited.
The Uraison Gott case was taken up for a hearing in Warrensburg yesterday. Proceedings focused on the motion and preliminary arguments as the court considers next steps.
The report notes that more than seventy five witnesses are to be examined with proceedings extending into next week. Many witnesses are reportedly from Sedalia.
The Orrison Gott defamation case drew the Johnson county court in Warrenusburg all day and will likely run into next week with about seventy five witnesses. The minister sues Gott for 10000 over a Fayetteville church row and a letter alleging impropriety between Orrison and his choir leader. The case has residents of Fayetteville and Pettis county subpoenaed and draws wide attention.
Seven masked men dynamited the Edinboro post office vault and looted stores. The exchange of gunfire scattered townspeople who pursued the robbers. One bystander, George Goodell, was shot in the arm as the gang fled with about $700 from the post office and more loot totaling around $1500.
Berne November 19 The Federal council named Fernand Demarther as minister to the United States. He now serves as counselor of the Swiss delegation at Rome.
Bishop Hugh Miller Thompson of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi died this morning in Jackson. He served as a leading church figure in the state.
Rev R T Milnes, superintendent of the Children Home Society, addressed the Girls Friendly Society on Monday. He complimented the ladies on the good work they are doing in the community.
The Arlington Pharmacy runs a sale on perfumes priced at fifty cents with some items at thirty five cents. The ad notes Thursday availability and urges shoppers to visit the store for bargain fragrances.
Ex Sedalian Reverend J A Fiedler, former pastor of the German Methodist church, attended the Charities Conference in Sedalia and revisited old friends before returning to St Louis where he now serves with the Children’s Home Society. He had led the Sedalia church for three years until leaving last September.
Clark Longan, the efficient clerk of the circuit court, who has been ill at home with pneumonia, is again able to be at his desk in the court house.
