Roy Dalby son of Judge J N Dalby becomes a pledged member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and will be initiated after Thanksgiving. Lee Gentry plays right tackle on the Freshman team. Laura Gehtry leaves university due to mother’s ill health.
Peter Pehl a leading Sedalia business man and Fulton Market owner buys the Fulton Market bar from Gaylord Boutell. Boutell had acquired it earlier from Pehl and built a successful operation. The purchase makes Pehl owner of a highly equipped bar and seven business properties in one block.
The Brown Springs railway property, sold by Receiver Waller to Cohen Bros, is expected to transfer to a company intending to relay and extend the line to the State fair grounds. Also notes local laundry and drugstore ads and the death of Solomon Everheart near Oak Grove.
