Tampa May 18 Sixteen thousand men are supplied with equipment and rations by the United States government. About 3 500 mules and nearly 5 000 horses require harness saddles and feed. Daily meat for the men totals 16 000 pounds at twelve cents a pound. Oats hay and water add to the cost with oats at Port Tampa and Tampa prices and water at a cent a gallon.
