Fire destroys Percy Harker home on Thirty second Street
The two story suburban house at Thirty second Street and Ohio Avenue owned by Percy Harker burned early today. The fire destroyed the building and almost all contents with losses estimated at about 5000 dollars. Harker escaped with clothing in his arms and suffered singed hair and eyebrows. Fire response was hindered by distance to a fire plug. Partial insurance covered some items, others deemed unsalvageable.

The missing clerk known as Mac fled to escape associates after depositing a forged twenty dollar check signed with Henry C. Butcher’s name.
