H. M. Knapp of Bridgeport arrives to review a new council proposition for city street car and waterworks projects. The visit seeks ratification of earlier terms now altered, with developments expected soon. Funeral services for Mrs. Bard featured hymns and a city cemetery burial followed the church service.

City Street Car Extension Proposal Faces Doubtful Path

Manager Osborne urged acceptance of the city proposal to extend street car tracks to the State fair grounds but doubt remains on whether the work will proceed. He notes street railway owners feel they have been treated poorly and the city owes about $6000 for lights, making extensions nearly impossible.

Death from rusty nail ends life visit

Mary Harrison, aged 51 or 52, died after lockjaw from a nail puncture suffered during a visit to her mother four miles south of Lamonte. She lived previously in the county, worked as a local agent for the Missouri Pacific, and leaves a husband and six children.

Funeral for Dr. T. T. Major Held at First Christian Church

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 AM from the First Christian Church. Rev. F. O. Fannon of Illinois is too ill to attend. Rev. F. L. Cook of East Broadway Christian Church will conduct. Assisting may be Rev. George Plattenberg of Dover. Mrs. W. D. Steele will lead music. Pallbearers include Judge J. N. Dalby, Dr. J. N. Ferguson, W. W. Herold, D. S. Hardin, J. M. Planck, and A. Infant Carl Bellew Dies in Summer Complaint

Carl Bellew infant son of Mr and Mrs Powell Bellew of Fifth and Brown streets died Sunday afternoon at 5 due to summer complaint. A short funeral was held at the residence by Rev F L Cook of East Broadway Christian church and the remains were sent to Glasgow Missouri by the 3:30 train for burial.

Death of Alonzo Gard at 16 months

The sixteen months old son of Mr and Mrs Gard of 1110 East Twelfth street died Sunday morning and was buried at 10 this morning. Services were led by Rev F L Cook pastor of East Broadway Christian church.

Mrs. Charles Harryman a 17 year old wife, distraught over husband’s desertion, cried in a justice of the peace office and warned she would kill herself if he does not return. She says she would not be to blame. he claims she wronged him, which she denies.

R V Taylor Dying and Noted Ohio Pioneer

Robert Taylor, an Ohio street grocer, was summoned to Schell City by telegram as his father R V Taylor, a pioneer of the region, lay dying. He spent part of last winter in Sedalia for treatment and is well known there.
