H. M. Knapp of Bridgeport arrives to review a new council proposition for city street car and waterworks projects. The visit seeks ratification of earlier terms now altered, with developments expected soon. Funeral services for Mrs. Bard featured hymns and a city cemetery burial followed the church service.
Manager Osborne urged acceptance of the city proposal to extend street car tracks to the State fair grounds but doubt remains on whether the work will proceed. He notes street railway owners feel they have been treated poorly and the city owes about $6000 for lights, making extensions nearly impossible.
Joe Shacklett sold his 120 acre farm located five miles southwest of Hughesville to G. W. Kisslering for $4500. Boies Bros. & Co. completed the transaction.
Will J Behr formerly foreman at Fisher Printing Co now leads Thomas Printing Co at 115 East Second street inviting old friends and patrons to meet.

Committees on Credentials, Permanent Organization, and Resolutions elected. officers for the year include President L. H. Jordan and Secretary W. Carter. The session adjourned for noon and resumed at 2:30 p.m.
Logan Thomas reports nearly a thousand people attended the Children's day exercises at Providence Baptist Church near Clifton City. A basket dinner followed in the grove. Pastor Rev. O. L. Wood of Lamonte plans tent meetings at Clifton City starting Wednesday July 9.

The Ministers' Alliance heard a sermon synopsis by Rev. S. B. Martin and passed resolutions praising Rev. Jacoby as president. Adjournment was set to the first Monday in September.
Mary Harrison, aged 51 or 52, died after lockjaw from a nail puncture suffered during a visit to her mother four miles south of Lamonte. She lived previously in the county, worked as a local agent for the Missouri Pacific, and leaves a husband and six children.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 AM from the First Christian Church. Rev. F. O. Fannon of Illinois is too ill to attend. Rev. F. L. Cook of East Broadway Christian Church will conduct. Assisting may be Rev. George Plattenberg of Dover. Mrs. W. D. Steele will lead music. Pallbearers include Judge J. N. Dalby, Dr. J. N. Ferguson, W. W. Herold, D. S. Hardin, J. M. Planck, and A. Farnham.
Carl Bellew infant son of Mr and Mrs Powell Bellew of Fifth and Brown streets died Sunday afternoon at 5 due to summer complaint. A short funeral was held at the residence by Rev F L Cook of East Broadway Christian church and the remains were sent to Glasgow Missouri by the 3:30 train for burial.
The sixteen months old son of Mr and Mrs Gard of 1110 East Twelfth street died Sunday morning and was buried at 10 this morning. Services were led by Rev F L Cook pastor of East Broadway Christian church.
In police court this morning Milo Washburn Will McNeal and two strangers were fined five dollars for being drunk. All paid but one.

A grip owned by Mrs. Wim Beyers of Lafayette Indiana was found on the west platform of the Katy depot last Thursday night by John Heard a driver for Huston transfer company. Mrs Beyers had arrived that evening to visit her brother J W McClain.
Mrs. Charles Harryman a 17 year old wife, distraught over husband’s desertion, cried in a justice of the peace office and warned she would kill herself if he does not return. She says she would not be to blame. he claims she wronged him, which she denies.
Robert Taylor, an Ohio street grocer, was summoned to Schell City by telegram as his father R V Taylor, a pioneer of the region, lay dying. He spent part of last winter in Sedalia for treatment and is well known there.
J. M. Brown will travel to Street Springs on Wednesday to roof the new mills under construction. The mills, among the finest in the area, will cost over 60 000 dollars and have a capacity of 400 barrels of flour per day.
A $50 gold watch lost by Nick les Monsees in this city weeks ago was recovered yesterday by Deputy Constable Robb from the son of a prominent businessman after Monsees pawned it for $1 and forgot it.
Loss from the Lamy’s fire is $67.49 and will be pro rated among twenty companies. Sedalia National Bank building loss from the Grand Central fire has been adjusted at $1900 and paid.
Emmett Bealert of Sedalia and Ella Lear of Versailles are licensed to wed. Bealert, a barber for Al Baumgartner, and Lear were married Sunday in Hughesville.
Judge W M Williams head of the Missouri Bar association announces Henry Lamm of Sedalia is named to the committee on legal biography.
Will Cloney and J H Kelly have been appointed administrators with the will annexed of the estate of Ira Hinsdale.
