A sister of Edna May Forshay claims the Chicago murder suspect Forshay is insane and that Sammy Hein, the 15 year old who helped capture him, has also gone mad after being bitten on the arm. Forshay remains in jail without bail as detectives pursue the inquest.
A large Sedalia Epworth League delegation traveled to Smithton for the Epworth League convention of the Sedalia district. Among them were E. J. Hunt, Rev. Simpson, Mrs. J. Harter, Jewell Harter, Lettie Bratton, Rev. F. Bratton, and Miss Alice Winkler. The first session opened this morning.

Deputy coroner Sen presided as 15 year old James Hein testified hearing two shots and identifying the killer near Dearborn Street. Forshay said it is too bad and I am sorry I did not finish the job.
The firm Johnson and Butler secured the contract for erecting the M E Church South. Construction will feature pressed stone and cost 36.00. Work will begin soon and be completed by midseason, with eleven buildings accounted for.
