Lightning Fire Kills Stallion at John Madden Farm
A severe Kentucky storm struck Lexington on July 22 igniting a barn fire that cremated the thoroughbred stallion Imp Mirthful and two other animals while sixty one horses escaped. The loss is placed at one hundred thousand dollars. The lightning also damaged the Henry Clay monument nose and ear.

Twelve New Members and Death in Nevada Asylum
Dr. T. H. Wilson aged about 58 died Tuesday morning in the Nevada asylum after five or six years of treatment. He practiced dentistry in Sedalia for ten to twelve years before illness. He is father to Miss Clara Belle and Mamie C. Wilson of 218 West Seventh street, visiting relatives at Slater, Missouri. A son Wing Wilson of Seattle survives. He was a Crescent Tent K O T M member. Remains shipped to Sedalia. funeral arrangements await contact from his two daughters.
