The remains of James L. Lister who died Friday in Dalhart Texas arrived by Missouri Pacific train at noon and were taken to his sister Mrs. John P Rodman 212 West Sixth Street for a 2 PM funeral led by Rev Dudley M Clagett pastor of Broadway Presbyterian Church The Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen attended in a body Burials followed at the city cemetery Attendance included relatives from Jefferson City Par son Kansas and Newton Kansas Among mourners were Mrs Flora Lister J M Lister and C H Lister other relatives from out of town. The burial was in the city cemetery.
A Katy passenger train No. 4 struck a windblown string of box cars north of Camp Branch, eight miles southwest of Sedalia, as a severe storm raged. Engine No. 291 toppled, but engineer Alonzo Snow and fireman T W Wilson escaped with injuries. the wreck halted traffic until nine hours later and trains resumed by 6:30 this morning.

Mrs Mary E Payne aged 47 wife of J W Payne died this morning at 135 East Pacific street from pneumonia. Survived by husband and one child Isaac. Funeral set for Tuesday afternoon at 2 at the residence.
