Mrs Nancy Birch widow valued at 300000 dollars and her daughter Mrs Laura Froman along with Mrs Birch Cooper two guests and a servant were seriously ill at the Birch home in Louisville after drinking coffee containing a poisonous mixture. Mrs Froman is not expected to live.
A collision east of Tucson between Sunset Limited No. 9 and Crescent City Express No. 8 at 2:53 am killed about thirty and injured many. Conductor Parker blamed by Night Operator Luff for failing to take orders. rescue and healing trains rushed to the scene amid widespread fire and casualties.

Four sailors are under arrest in Liverpool on charges of mutiny aboard the Verona which sailed to Montevideo last year. The men allegedly murdered the captain and six crew members, set fire to the vessel, and escaped in a small boat.
Plainfield New Jersey January 29 Engineer James Davis of the Philadelphia flyer who crashed into the eastern express near Westfield Tuesday killing twenty and wounding forty died here today in hospital.
Mr. L. C. Snell a hair dresser was seriously hurt by applying croton oil liniment instead of eyewash. He reached for the eye wash bottle on a shelf but the mislabeled container caused extreme pain before relief. A cleaning woman had confused the two bottles in the room.
Pete Volmer, mail transfer clerk, returned from Kansas City where his daughter Mrs Will Russ has been ill with typhoid pneumonia. He reports she is barely alive and death is expected at any moment.
A four year old boy accidentally fired a target rifle while mother and husband watched sparrows from a Boonville window. The ball struck Mrs W A Hoeffer in the heart and she died at 0 15 arriving at home after moving from Tanville where a grocery business formerly operated. The Hoeffer family was highly regarded in the community.
Three men died and several others were injured when an ammonia tank exploded at the Eckart Painting company cold storage plant in Fort Wayne Indiana. The victims were Henry Piper James Voltz and Oliver Mathews with three others seriously injured and four lightly injured.
General Leonard Wood arrived at Topeka Kansas and was greeted by William Allen White. He will give an address on Reciprocity tonight though he will not speak at a prior reception. A large crowd attended an afternoon reception.
