Sedalia tale of Lily O Bannon who ends her wedding to farmer John Landers at Judge Burr’s home after deciding she is already married to another. The scene turns into a cautionary note as authorities reveal Lily’s past and a possible penitentiary term. A second local item notes Emma J. Ernest wins five thousand dollars in a wrongful death suit against the C and A railroad.
The Kansas City Pittsburg and Gulf railroad subscribed 1000 dollars to Fort Smith relief. A B Thurston civil engineer of the Katy and his family left for St Louis. M Sweeney of the Katy passed through Sedalia en route to St Louis. Colorado roads set one fare for the Growers convention in Dover. Joseph McCabe a Vandalia brakeman was fatally injured.
Arrangements are complete for the Missouri Federation of Women's clubs three day gathering in Sedalia beginning Wednesday. The event runs Wednesday through Friday at the Royal Tribe of Joseph building with an open Thursday session featuring John R. Kirke and Prof. Piccard among other speakers.

The nine month old child of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Epperson died from croup this morning at 11 o clock at the family residence on South Lamine street. Remains will be shipped to Lexington tomorrow afternoon for burial.
Burney of 319 West Johnson Street died this morning at 2 o clock from consumption. He was 58 and leaves a wife and six children. The funeral will be from the house tomorrow afternoon with Rev. H. D. Stauffer officiating.
A Tuesday night concert at Kimballs Hall 208 Ohio Street will raise proceeds to pay for Mrs Barnes piano. Friemels famous orchestra performs with a 25 cent admission. In Pettis circuit court today equity cases W Y Prigmore vs O H Coe et al and divorce Anna Nussberger vs Jacob Nussberger were continued.
