Mr John Griffith appears tonight February 14 in a scenic production of Baird's Spartacus the Gladiator. The Rome camp scenes and arena with Mount Vesuvius on the horizon showcase superb scene painting. The actor's support this season is described as stronger than ever.

Elgin in Chautauqua County Kansas shipped more cattle than any other point worldwide in 1900. The town moved over 100000 cattle across 3502 carloads with St Joseph receiving 717 cars, 206 more than Chicago.
In East Sedalia rumors say J. W. Dowd a Missouri Pacific fireman is soon to marry.
