The Panama canal treaty arrived in Colon and was taken to the City of Panama by Senor E Sprilla, Panama's foreign minister. It is expected to be signed tomorrow amid quiet conditions and normal business. About 150 political malcontents have been deported.
Baylis Steele, Kansas City alderman and Pettis County native, says Reed has strong backing among Jackson County Democrats and highlights Metropolitan Street Railway gains, reduced lighting costs, Bell telephone competition, and flood crisis leadership as proof of Reed’s fitness for mayor and higher office.
A detachment of constables clashed for four days with six hundred Galina head hunters a hundred miles north of Manila. Manila on December 1 reports Senor Rios a Filipino leader convicted of murder was hanged today. Rios known as the pope of the Tayabas district faced execution in the capital.
