A strong but variable breeze produced an uneven run with the Reliance leading by a mile at 1:30 pm and finishing nineteen minutes ahead of Shamrock after rounding the outer mark at 3 pm amid shifting winds and heavy swell.

Mrs. A. W. Chatham Dies at Lamonte Home
Mrs. Albert Chatham died Sunday morning at her Lamonte home after a lingering illness. She was about 24 years old. Her mother from St. Louis and three sisters were present. Funeral services were at 10 oclock at the Christian church with Rev. E. B. Wilkes of California, Mo., officiating, and burial followed in the city cemetery.
