Beaman Man Bitten by Rattler At Home
Ernest Smiley of Beaman, brother in law of Attorney R A Higdon, was bitten on the leg by a rattlesnake while cutting corn at his home Wednesday evening. He used a corn knife to free the snake, Dr Staats of Beaman treated him, about a quart of poison was drawn from the wound, and his leg is badly swollen this morning.
