Caney Train Hold Up by Masked Bandits in Indian Territory
Missouri Kansas and Texas train No 3 was robbed at Caney Switch Indian Territory by five or six masked men. Express Messenger Ed Sheldon and Postal Clerk G T Tuley led the crew through a two hour hold up with dynamite and a wrecked safe. Police later arrested six suspects near Caney and jailed them in Atoka as investigators traced the heist and passenger losses.
