Burglary on Second Street Ends in Sedalia Capture
Sunday morning a bold burglary at St Louis Clothing Co. end ed with the thief being nabbed by J T Weisenbach after slipping into Royal Tribe building. Will Ruffian, from the Territory, was bound over to the grand jury after arraignment.

James Shelton Frank Taylor and Lulu Vaughn colored were arrested Sunday afternoon for disturbing neighborhood peace near Moniteau and Pacific. Shelton and Vaughn fined 5 dollars, Taylor 10. Henry Menefee and William Stanly fined 10 each for vagrancy and not allowed to stay town. Deserters from army claimed, wore uniforms en route to Fort Leavenworth to reenlist. White boy Jas Larrimore fined 4 for drunkenness, remainder stayed for good behavior. Gertie Smith noted white woman fined 5 for late hours, Ed Gordon white fined 10 for petit larceny with section men accusing theft of shirt, jumper, and shoes.

J F C Rennison a wealthy Elk Lick Springs farmer died at his country home Sunday evening from general debility. He had previously traveled to Sedalia seeking a wife after a marriage in town, later reuniting with his spouse. Funeral services were held at Miller's chapel at 3 PM with burial there.
