The Democratic county convention meets at 11 am with Chairman J. M. Baldwin. Bruce Barnett is nominated for prosecuting attorney by acclamation after John Cashman withdraws. Other nominees include Lon Luther for circuit clerk Asbury Goodknight for circuit clerk, Parsons for probate judge, Honkomp for treasurer, Gray for county clerk, Looney for recorder, McClure for collector, Harris for presiding judge, Dr MecCluney for coroner, Johnston for representative and Wilson for eastern district judge.

Sedalia Delegates Elect Township Ticket At Meeting
After adjournment of the county convention the Sedalia delegates chose Lee Lovinger as secretary and W H Powell as chairman. James C Conner was nominated for constable. W B Miller N Mosher J R Rauck and J R Clopton were proposed for justice of the peace but Rauck declined. The central committee was ratified and will meet at the courthouse at 2 pm next Saturday to organize and discuss the campaign.

Wreck on the Pacific injures two trainmen in Osage collision
An eastbound freight collided with a westbound stock train near Osage Missouri late Sunday night. Engineer Childers and Brakeman Janes were injured as two locomotives and several cars wrecked. Delays followed as trains No 9 and No 3 arrived hours late.

Trampled by Tram Injures Boy Near Sweet Springs
Otto Pinkepank twelve year old son of August Pinkepank of three miles north of Sweet Springs Missouri was struck by Missouri Pacific passenger train No 1 at Locust street crossing while driving a wagon with horses. He suffered injuries to his right hip and body and was taken home after aid arrived.
