Drowning of Fred J. Boies and horse near Sedalia

Fred J. Boies senior real estate figure and notary public was found dead in Big Muddy creek seven miles northwest of Sedalia after a night of heavy rain. His horse and buggy were found downstream. A coroner ruled accidental drowning. Funeral held at First Congregational Church with the body in an advanced state of decomposition. Boies leaves a widow and two sons Ralph and Murray.

Death of 15 year old G Lambirth at home

Orris Griffith Lambirth died at 4 a m in his parents home at the corner of Moni cheau and Morgan streets aged 15 after rheumatism affected his heart. Funeral from First M E Church Tuesday at 3 pm conducted by Rev S S Martin with Rev Surface assisting. Music by the church choir and a solo by Mrs Bard.
